Today, Jason Offutt is here to answer five questions about his new horror novel, THE GIRL IN THE CORN.
The life of Thomas Cavanaugh, a farm boy tormented by a fairy he once encountered in the corn, and the life of Bobby Garrett, a disturbed young man tormented by something darker than the fairy. When their lives—and the lives of their supernatural companions—intersect, reality becomes explosive.
Thomas. Like Thomas, I grew up on a farm. And, also like Thomas, I skated aimlessly through life until faced with adversity. I think that made my parents happy. Parents love it when their children finally get their shit together.
Growing up playing in cornfields despite my parents telling me not to. There are wicked things that lurk in the corn.
Bobby’s fourth murder. I hope my audience tells me it was just as rough to read.
That it’s way WAY too easy to learn how to make ricin, thermite, and C4 in the comfort of your own home.
